ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Founded inĀ 1171, Schloss Gobelsburgās winemaking heritage began when Cistercian monks from Zwettl were granted vineyards on theĀ HeiligensteinĀ andĀ GaisbergĀ hillsāsites still central to the estate today. After centuries of monastic stewardship, production moved permanently to Gobelsburg inĀ 1786, where the castle became the heart of the winery.
